East of England Becomes Plugged In

31 July 2010 No Comment

A consortium of more than fifty local businesses across the East have devised a £5+ million project called EValue8. It involves installing 600 charging points for electric cars.

Their project has been short-listed by the “Pluggedin Places”, a project by the Office of Low Emission Vehicles. Short-listed, however, doesn’t mean granted – they still got a huge task ahead – submitting a full business plan by October 2010.

If they receive the funding, Bedford, Norwich and other strategic places in the East will see electric car plug-in points installed from spring 2011.
