A parking plot near a highway between Tokio and Yokohama now has a high-spec charging point system for electric cars. It was unveiled by the Kanagawa governor Shigefumi Matsuzawa who expressed his excitement about popularizing environmentally friendly cars in the community.

This high-speed charger takes just 15 to 30 minutes (depending on your electric car model) to fill the Li-ion batteries to 80%. Similar chargers are also installed near Metropolitan Expressway and Hanshin Expressway. More parking plots will be equipped with charging points next year.
