France to Allocate 500,000,000 in Electric Car Bonuses

15 December 2009 No Comment

A short one on the same note about France. The politicians have hinted that they would be prepared to pay up to EUR5,000 to at least 100,000 first-time electric car buyers to boost the interest in alternative motoring. It is expected that the bonus scheme will be deployed between 2012 and 2015.

This is a huge amount of money – half a billion Euros, so, now you can imagine the extent of all this global electric car popularization campaign. As we previously noted, British government is prepared to pay £3,000 in bonuses for green motoring supporters, however, it is unclear, how big a wallet they have.
