OMG! The Solar Panel Bends!

OMG! The Solar Panel Bends!

After keeping us in suspense for a while, Nanosolar has finally made an announcement regarding their future plans.

Up until now Nanosolar has really managed to stir controversy around their new technology in mass production of solar batteries. Well funded and possessing the best brains in the industry, it is understood that the half-a-billion cash injection from private investors like Sergey Brin (Google) and Mohr Davidov has gone to fine-tune their ground-breaking technology of solar panel manufacturing and building new plants in San Jose and Germany. However, it is the German factory in Luckenwalde near Berlin that goes abuzz right now because it is clear that the new generation solar panels will be manufactured there. It is believed that Nanosolar has found a method of building solar cells at a fraction (one fifth) of the standard price.

Maybe it is all about patriotism in the end. Their initial goal was to launch USA to the forefront of solar battery production. Now it seems they are on the course of achieving that. Nanosolar are already taking details from contractors and homeowners who would like to install the solar panels on the roofs.
