Nissan Leaf - 50,000 Long Waiting-list

16 February 2010 No Comment

Allegedly Nissan will start taking deposits for Leaf electric car in April. The order-book will be open subsequently in August and the first electric cars will reach the drivers in USA by December this year.

The car’s price will be kept relatively low but you don’t get to own the battery. It will be leased to you. Te exact price will be announced prior to the deposit campaign.

It is estimated that almost 50,000 people have opted in for updates on Leaf project. We don’t expect that all of them will jump at the opportunity but it is more than certain that the order-book will contain tens of thousands of names. It will be the largest to date Ecar campaign in the western world and several US energy companies are unveiling their plans of improving the infrastructure so that the drivers can top-up their cars in parking lots and other public spaces.
