Norway Builds More Recharging Stations

23 October 2009 No Comment

Eidsiva, one of the most innovative energy suppliers of Norway, has built its first intelligent ChargePoint ™ recharging station in the town of Gjovik.

Very soon they will open more stations in Hamar and Lillehammer to give Norway the advantage in the electric car race.

They will all be linked together in an accessible network that will provide various opportunities for the owners of electric cars. Functions include finding the recharging points on Google Maps, checking how much power is necessary to get to the closest station and many more.

Once there are enough points built it is possible to link all European stations together and provide a convenient grid for those travelling in electric cars.

Similar points have already been installed as an experiment in Netherlands and Belgium.
