Peugeot has decided to offer their electric car i0n for public pre-reservations. If you are from the UK and interested in getting your hands on this little beauty, click on i0n reservation. Technically, it is a re-worked Mitsubishi i-MiEV but the French version has even more than its Japanese sibling. It has been adjusted to suit European needs. With a maximum power of 64 BHP and quite an impressive torque 180 Nm, it is one of the few electric cars that is not a mere urban vehicle any more. Peugeot i0n is able to achieve 80 mph, which makes it perfectly suitable for highways.
The range is neither low nor high – 80 miles – an industry standard, however there is something that makes it stand out: you can fast-charge the car in just 30 minutes and go on with your trip.
It is expected that the new electric car will appear on the streets of Britain next year.
