I really appreciated your post! However, although what you say is true, this is a rapidly evolving technology. It's just equivalent to the early Henry Ford days at this point. The goal is to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, and even though some electricity production relies on oil it's not as bad as gasoline consumption. I expect there'll be lots of 'bumps in the road' along the way but if we fast-forward 25 years I am convinced the majority of cars on the road at that time will not use gasoline.
