Renault Nissan Responsible for Another 100-test
The news about companies willing to test their electric cars keep appearing at a surprisingly fast rate. Renault-Nissan is the latest company to announce plans to launch a 100-car test. The setting is different – it will happen in Paris – but the partner is the same – EDF Energy.
The tests will start in September 2010 and involve both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. These tests will aid the all-new mass production of electric cars that is due to start early in 2011. This project is being financed by French government and private partners and actively supported by the local authorities of Paris.
Meanwhile, not so far away, in Netherlands the Dutch government has invited Renault-Nissan alliance to assist the country’s plans of introducing electric cars. It is expected that the alliance will be the main partner of Dutch government in preparing the country for the green revolution.
