Siemens to Harness the Sun

Siemens has won a EUR 40 million contract to build and operate four photovoltaic battery fields in Spain. One of them when built will be the largest sun farm in the world.

The total output of the four solar energy plants will come to almost 46 megawatts.

For you to understand the extent of this project, one of the photovoltaic battery fields will cover half a million square meters with 100,000 solar battery modules. This plant alon will proveide 12,000 homes with energy.

Many people are anticipating this bold move while others continue the debate about the visual appeal of the monstrous buildings. It will have some impact, no doubt, but then we need the energy…
