Top Traffic-Jam Cities

19 May 2010 No Comment

The famous satnav manufacturer TomTom has compiled a list of the busiest European cities. They know a thing or two about traffic jams because they’ve got a wealth of data at the very fingertips. According to TomTom the “jammiest” city in Europe is Brussels. Congratulations! Electric-Car-News would like to offer Brussels another prize for having the highest number of bureaucrats per-capita. The biggest surprise for me is Poland who has managed to secure two positions in the traffic-jam top. Been there, didn’t notice any serious jams but, hey, that was a while ago. Maybe they’ve bought more cars. Our beloved London is number 4. No comments – sometimes moving slowly is rather pleasant… and definitely safer than dashing. One thing remains unclear – where is Moscow? Have you ever tried to drive along the Sadovoye Kolco during the peak time? It is a special adventure. I must admit I’ve never been to Brussels but I’ve got a feeling that Moscow should have been near the top.

TomTom Traffic-jam Top
1. Brussels
2. Warsaw
3. Wroclaw
4. London :)
5. Edinburgh
6. Dublin
7. Belfast
8. Marseilles
9. Paris
10. Luxembourgh / Milano
