F3 Eco Racing

A racing car that loves chocolate just like your wife? Wouldn’t that be wacky? Warwick Manufacturing Group or WMG has presented an F3 racing car that would take energy from cocoa oil.

It is not just about the fuel. It’s about the car, the concept. Its body is made from potato starch and polymers derived from carrot fibers. Yummy! The brake disks are made of cashew nutshells and the pilot seat is crafted in flax.

But it is the message of EcoF3 that makes the biggest impact. It is actually very clever. Why have all the previous concepts of green cars gone unnoticed? Because they were mostly small ugly vehicles that nobody in their right mind would name a dream car. This EcoF3 is different. It is a racing car! Can you believe that – a green car that can reach 145 mph speed. It is both capable and environmentally friendly. Boy, these two rarely come together!

Warwick Manufacturing Group was established back in 1980 as a part of School of Engineering with the Warwick University. The groups efforts are funded by Advantage West Midlands, Jaguar Cars and some private investors. Frequently visited by members of the Government, WMG is really in the avant-guard of future technologies.

Now the company is looking to promote the EcoF3 racing car in some local and international racing venues. It is expected that the car will be featured on this year’s F1 British Grand Prix event. To learn more, visit F3 Sustainable motor racing.
